Looking for Submissions...

I am an adult child of a parent with a mental illness.  I am extending an invitation to other adult children to submit their stories, poetry, and artwork, of growing up with a parent or primary caregiver with a mental illness.

Please include childhood memories, feelings, struggles, celebrations, and your current relationship to your parent or primary caregiver.  Please include a brief bio of yourself and, if available, a head shot.

Your stories, poetry, artwork, etc. should reflect your life and how mental illness has affected your life then and now.  Personal essays should be no longer than 8,000 words.

The submission deadline is November 30, 2008.

You can submit your work by email or regular mail.

Submissions should be sent to:

Attachments should be titled with your name, address, phone number, and the words "My Story."
