Blessed To Be Free by Jan Lutz

Born in freedom!
How I’m blessed
To be a citizen of the U.S.

This liberty's
A gift to me.
Though priceless, freedom’s never free.

Countless patriots
Paid the price
By offering the ultimate sacrifice.

They died in the hope
That some day we
Would have a world where all would be free.

And still today
That fight goes on
To rid our world of oppression.

Blood-bought freedom-
May I ever
Cherish it as a priceless treasure.

America,
Land of my birth,
Beacon of hope for all the earth.
